Description of Enhance Fish Health with Seachem StressGuard Slime Coat Protection

PROTECT: Seachem StressGuard is a premium slime coat protection product, working to reduce stress and ammonia toxicity whenever handling or transporting fish. HEAL: Seachem StressGuard binds to exposed protein in wounds to promote healing of injured fish while reducing the likelihood of primary and secondary infections. TREATMENT: The protein active colloidal agent in StressGuard actively seeks out any wounds, abrasions, or places where exposed proteins are and attaches to this area, helping to directly deliver the disinfectant in the product and start the healing process. AQUARIUM CARE: Use 1/2–1 capful (2.5–5 mL) of StressGuard to every 40 L (10 US gallons) every 24 hours until signs of stress have abated or healing is complete. A dose of StressGuard may be safely doubled. SAFETY: StressGuard has a pH of 7.0. It will not affect the pH of an aquarium, even at large doses, allowing for safe use in a reef or planted aquarium containing invertebrates.

Good product! Suitable for fish and aquatic animals

This product is great! The fish pictured was very stressed and very sick but I used the product on the recommendation of the Betta group and now use it in all my tanks for water changes and especially new fish!

Great for adding new fish

This seems to have increased my acclimatization success rate and I think it's worth every penny. I use it 3 days after adding new fish and 1 day after a big clean or water change and everyone has been happy. Used it with fish, live plants and inverts and all are great.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

StressGuard Helps Fish

StressGuard can be used with other medicines (as long as they do not contain copper) to restore health to fish after illness/injury or during stressful times such as transport. If necessary, it can be used once a day. I use it along with ParaGuard for my betta recovering from fin rot. Together, the foods seem to make him healthier than without them.

Pros
  • Long Lasting Coating
Cons
  • Expensive

Fish & Aquatic Life Right Hand

This Seachem product has proven to me once again that it definitely works. I had a pygmy gourami with a couple of open sores and noticed a big difference after a few days and used it when introducing my Blue & Red Columbia tetras. The great thing about this product is that you can use it when adding new fish or when you see cuts on your body, it acts as a natural liquid bandage and I would definitely recommend this stressguard.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some Issues

Worked better than medicine for my Goldie

I had a sick Goldie. He came in with a bunch of goldfish from the local pet store. Everyone else was fine, but not this child. So I tried treating him with antifungals first and then antiparasitics. He'll get better, and then he'll start looking like frayed fins. He's alone in the hospital tank. I started using StressGuard on him and he got better and better. I haven't dosed him at all for 2 weeks and he's really growing! I think he's ready to reunite with his friends!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Seachem For Life Aquarium Water Treatment

Seachem StressGuard Slime Coat Protection is a great product that has definitely helped my fish get through colds. I used Seachem Paraguard to cure my fish problem and after a few days I saw my fish looked stressed and losing color and after doing some research people said that Seachem StressGuard Slime Coat Protection is the product for the work was, so I bought it direct from Revain. As soon as I received the product I used it straight away and after a few days I saw my fishy colors came back

Pros
  • Fairly effective
Cons
  • Not bad

The perfect stress reliever for shy fish

SeaChem makes amazing products that have been tested and approved by expert fish farmers. I bought Stress Guard in addition to my Sea Chem Prime when I changed the water so that the fish in our tank are not stressed. When we first brought the neon tetras into the aquarium, they constantly hid in the corner and avoided food while feeding. However, after a few days and following the directions of my LFS, they are swimming all over the tank. FYI, if neon tetras don't swim in a shoal, it means…

Leaks on arrival but product is good

I have bought this product several times and love it, it works wonders for my *very excited* cockfish who regularly bites off chunks of his tail, seemingly no cause. I usually buy from Amazon as there aren't any pet stores near me that have Anti-Stressguard. On arrival however the seal was broken and it was leaking and drying all over the side of the bottle (sometimes it turns green as it dries so the color on the side of the bottle doesn't matter) but on further inspection there was none dried

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Works like magic when battling a stubborn fin rot

Bettas and I struggle with fin rot from time to time. Recently figured out what is causing the gaps that allowed fin rot and removed them from the aquarium. I've tried many things from aquarium salts to antifungal and bacterial pills and they've all been mild on him. He was as happy and energetic as he could be, but it was sad to see how his fins were torn and short all the time. I did some research and decided to try Stressguard. My train of thought was to combine aquarium salt and…
