The price has gone up but they work

I use them in my Canon g7xII at Fantasea. I love that I can see them change color. I pack two in my case and they usually last around 5-6 days of diving. However, if you spend a lot of time between dives, I had to throw away the remaining pouches after opening them, even though they were stored in the optional zip lock. I'm disappointed to see that the price has gone up so much since I first bought them in 2017. I used to pay $8.99 per pack.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Almost never

Works as promised! - Case

I have been using them for several years and this is a repeat order. Whether diving in fresh or salt water, this is a must-have for your underwater camera! I will not dive without Sealife moisture absorbers! It is necessary! The display of the moisture color allows for assumptions. I have used 2 other types of desiccant bags and the Sealife desiccants work exactly as promised. I have never had a problem with fog or moisture in my dive box. I will order again!

Pretty good, but not enough to completely avoid accidental fogging

I think they worked - they definitely changed the color as promised, but they didn't completely prevent my camera body's front screen from fogging up a bit after the climb, although in my case there was no leak. So they ended up being more of a "canary in a coal mine" telling me the camera was still safe than a "keep the suitcase dry" measure. Each lasted a few days - in our case it was about 8 dives each.

  • Great for me

  • unreliable

How would you rate this product. You really never.

How do you rate this product? You never know if it works. I usually charge my camera in an air-conditioned room so there is almost no humidity. When I take it out at the end of the day they hardly change color, so I'm assuming there wasn't any moisture in the case to begin with. I use 3 in my accommodation because that fits. The packaging seals very well. I've had the pack open for about two years now and the desiccant is still deep blue. I know they work because I change them every other dayโ€ฆ

Fantastic product but the whole bag could go to waste.

This product is fantastic and it works - one capsule is enough for a whole trip! (used with my Sealife SportDiver) However the entire pack can be wasted in one use as the individual capsules are not individually wrapped (like the sample that comes with the Sealife SportDiver). I bought the product in January for a trip to Key West. worked great; but when I returned to the bag in May to use for a trip to Hawaii, the entire bag was pink (meaning it had absorbed moisture when opened). Luckily Iโ€ฆ

They do their job and let you know if you have water issues!

Yes, you can get them almost for free. or at least a lot cheaper. You can take them from almost any pill jar and they're essentially the same thing. However, moisture eaters change color to indicate they are full of moisture and you can replace them with another one. They're a bit pricey, but they do the job and you don't have to worry about a thing. They have visual aids to tell you if there is a problem. I prefer to err on the side of caution when it comes to underwater camera gear, so it'sโ€ฆ

Mandatory for underwater photography

I've been a professional photographer for a long time, but I'm new to the underwater world. I spent months getting SCUBA certification, researching cameras and tech, and finally bought my first underwater DSLR rig. My first test dive was a complete failure. My lens fogged up after about two minutes and the resulting shots were completely unusable. Luckily, another photographer helped me with a test shoot and offered to buy them. I immediately ordered a pack and used the capsule on my secondโ€ฆ
