🐠 Seapora 56098 Overflow Pre-Filter: Enhance Aquarium Filtration Efficiencies Review

It was broken when I received it. The plastic nuts and bolts come loose when I hand tighten them. I glued it on and was able to test it. This is the norm for a 200 gallon tank, but the best I could get was around 600 gallons per hour.

I like it, but today I wanted to start building, it looks like the fittings are not packed in a box. Bought last month, now you have to go to the hardware store to find something to hold it.

Ordered this and it broke on the edge of the transparent box. Get a replacement, the same. We will send back the replacement and stick the original. This is a broken weak design on the corners as the packaging looks good but both items were broken.

Very nice piece of acrylic and black plastic for overflow Best thing is that it's adjustable as you wish, the water level looks small in the pictures but it's actually big The only thing what doesn't work is the PVC fitting for the bulkhead. They're 1" but for some reason they're smaller than the actual 1" PVC so it doesn't fit the bulkhead exactly, but two new pieces from Homedepot quickly solve the problem. Very happy with my purchase

Received this recently and found that the center channel on the rim of the tank, which is also part of the bolts that the skimmer attaches to, was completely broken. One of the pre-filter sponges had lumps on the bottom and top. I have 1 air hose. I had to get 2 riser assemblies which were PVC pipe with an air hose attached to the inside of the PVC pipe and extending 2 inches beyond the PVC pipe. They fit into the 1 inch spacers on both bulkheads and as the air lines are above the waterline…

This is a good product just like any other. Plexiglas quality is good, not brittle. The plastic mounting screws can be a little stronger than plastic, just tighten them enough to hold the box in place and still move it up or down for quick water flow without creating bubbles. The only thing is that the bulkhead tube doesn't come with the overflow box. U-shaped siphon tubes are not too long, you need to position the black filter housing high enough so that the siphon tube doesn't trap air…
