Works like a champ.

Easy to install on my new portable generator. He worked the first 3 tenths of an hour, so he passed the exam. Time will tell life expectancy. It appears to be a well built quality meter.

  • Easy to read control panel

Great little counter for the money

I hooked this up to my air compressor on the engine to keep an eye on the clock. It only runs once or twice a day and I'd like to know when it's actually time to change the oil rather than just guessing.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Disappointed best in spare parts

From what I can tell it stopped working after about two years, less than 300 hours total. It's useless to have a counter to keep track of when the machine needs maintenance if you can't rely on the counter. Now I really have no idea how many hours my air compressor has been running and I will never know. That's very disappointing.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Some minor things

No Vibration resistance

It was easy to install, but after only 35.6 hours of use it broke down. The unit was mounted on a vertical air compressor and appeared to be subject to excessive vibration. I figured it would work as the description says it was designed for the Generator ATV Chainsaw and Lawn Mower Compressor. I was wrong. Don't waste your time with this. Update: The shop owner contacted me and said reviews are important to him. They offered me $20 to remove my negative review on this product. I don't need 20โ€ฆ

error after 96 hours; excellent customer support from Searon

Received on February 3rd, 2017. Upon receipt, I noticed that the bezel or bezel was positioned upside down so that when the red tenths of an hour digit was on the right, the word "CLOCK" was upside down. That was acceptable, so a few weeks later I installed it on a 240VAC heat pump compressor to record run times. Both the photo and the description indicate that the device must be operated with voltages up to 250V. When it reached 96.2 hours, it stopped. I checked the electrical connection andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

I made it on replacement parts

I wanted to use this with my new North State air compressor which has a 220v motor. My power supply uses a two-wire, grounded, 10-gauge power cord (three wires total). I installed it in my pressure switch according to the compressor manufacturer's instructions. The compressor works like a champion. So I connected the sensor to a small lamp wire with one leg on the motor side and the other wire to the ground wire. The compressor continues to run as before, but the pressure gauge does not move.
