you would want to wrap a rubber band around it instead of using the lock feature or you will hurt yourself. it locks wayyyy to tight and it’s not safe. it is ripped where your skin will be held in place and the ripped part is absolutely painful. u less you put some tape on it or something to make it soft but then it’s hard to sterilize and keep clean. probably don’t suggest getting this
Pros
exactly as it shows great value for a great price
Cons
Does not stay clamped and very painful when closed
It's definitely worth the money seeing how other ones cost wayyyy more. My only issue was the locking portion of it didn't seem to line up correctly, so it was impossible to keep it closed while doing a piercing.
Pros
amazing quality
Cons
The non-slip grip can be prone to slipping if used with particularly slippery materials
They work amazing. When using them I would recommend using a rubber and around the clamp itself so you don’t have to hold it while piercing.(like how it is in the picture)
Pros
It works just fine for what I bought it for.
Cons
came kind of rusty but i still used them lol. got the job done i guess
I can’t have this on my earlobe for more than 5 seconds on the widest lock, and that’s with putting up with lots of pain. The locking mechanism is WAY too tight so I ended up using the plastic ones that came with my piercing kit! These are trash.
Pros
It needed a bit rough on the edge, but I filled it down and it worked great after that.
Cons
The forceps are not suitable for use with particularly small or fine materials
This is so tight! I can’t even use it. Even my friend tried using it, and it was just extremely painful. this is completely useless and would be too painful to use. very unhappy:( i really wanted this to work. i’m better off using no tool at all. don’t buy this!
Pros
Works very well for piercings. I wrap a rubber band around the handles to keep pressure clamped.
Has no locking feature, not looking for a locking forceps just something to pickup tools out of soaking bath.perfect The forceps are not suitable for use with particularly thick or heavy materials.
Pros
Item As described
Cons
The forceps are not suitable for use with particularly thick or heavy materials
Exactly as shown, I put them into my autoclave immediately ((they don’t come sterilized so you should definitely sterilize them upon receiving these prior to use)) very happy with them and can’t wait to get back into doing piercings again!
Pros
The clamp is pretty rough textured for skin but other than that it works great.
definately works correctly. i pierced my conch and lobe piercings with it and there was no pain whatsoever and the clamps too away the pain from the initial piercings
Pros
they worked well for me
Cons
The forceps are prone to rusting if not properly maintained
Great product! Haven't used to pierce yet, but I have played with it and I have to say that the self lock is extremely tight, I recommend a rubber band or hair tie, even holding it would work, other than that, good product, will get the job done
Pros
Just as show in the picture. great buy!
Cons
I cannot use these for my practice. They have sharp edges that catch everything and we’re made poorly
Okay, so I wasn’t expecting such a good clamp- but it works wonders! My clients love it, and I even pierced someone’s lip with it and it worked flawlessly! Safe to say that I was impressed!
Pros
I used this for a piercing and honestly it works great, worth every penny!
Cons
The non-slip grip can be difficult to clean, leading to potential contamination
I use these in sewing. They help me turn things right side out and help me to stuff bears and other stuffed animals. If you use them for this purpose make sure not to get ones that "lock" unless you're performing surgery. My 1st pair did and it didn't work for my purposes but these are perfect.
Pros
Awesome thanks again!
Cons
The non-slip grip can be uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time
Bought these for piercing. They lock easily and tightly. The good is that they work SO well to keep the entry/exit holes aligned. The bad is that they are tight enough to cause some discomfort even when clamped at the first lock.Love the length - turns out to be super useful in automotive applications as well. Who knew.
Pros
Worked good happy with my buy.
Cons
The inside on the head was very uncomfortable and sharp , couldn't use.
Used these to pierce my nipples and I have no complaints! You can tell they are sturdy and will hold up for the job. Ignore my struggling in the video lol but I locked these forceps on the first, loosest lock and it’s extremely tight. Don’t know why anyone would need it tighter than the first lock, but as for the serrated edges, I used the first lock on my nipples with no bruising or cuts from the serration! Be sure to buy the slotted version for piercings (my mistake) as I forgot and had to…
Pros
Industrial & Scientific
Cons
The HTS 164P5 forceps are not very ergonomic and can be uncomfortable to use for long periods
I bought these to pull my dogs ear hair and these were a joke. Either I got a pair that were defective or they just do not work! They wouldn’t grip the hair at all.
Pros
Works well.
Cons
The locking mechanism can be difficult to disengage, leading to frustration and wasted time
These forceps are incredibly tight. The first clamping setting is enough to leave your ear bruised. I bought these to pierce my nose and couldnt even clamp them closed they were so tight.
Pros
its ok its too tight
Cons
A bit pokey. Serrated!!! Quite painful really. Hurts worse than the piercing itself.
I have done all of my own piercings and I lost my old clamp so I bought a new one. In the end this did the job, but where it locked was way too tight, so you have to hold the clamp in place rather than locking it in place because it is too tight everywhere.
Pros
it clamps well and it has a slot for the lock feature even though i didnt order mine with a lock
Cons
The forceps are not very durable and may need to be replaced frequently
I think this is probably a good value for the money. I wanted to use it as a tool. Nothing to do with piercings. The forceps are not very versatile and may not be suitable for a wide range of applications.
Pros
Works as described
Cons
The forceps are not very versatile and may not be suitable for a wide range of applications
