Cord started ripping before use

It’s a foam block with two straps and two cords. So far so good but one cord started ripping even before use. Returning it though the straps and foam block seem fine.

Good system for the money

This kayak carrier was a great find. So easy to attach to my roof-racks. The straps it comes with were ok for the money but not sure how well they'll stand up to time. But good enough if used occasionally. I believe you can use the blocks even without a roof rack system. I needed this because I was adding an additional kayak to my trip and didnt want to spend a lot and this was perfect. The great thing about this system is easy to install and didnt scratch my roof like the "J-hook system did.

They do not fit over existing roof bars.

Despite the shape of the opening in the foam, when you try to put them around the roof rack bar, they are so inflexible that they split. Useless. I would have rated them as 0 but the lowest choice is 1 star.

Great for Kayak on Popup

Needed something for my kayak to put it on top of my pop up camper. This worked great and my husband was surprised how well it worked and that it didn’t look trashy. Held up great in heavy rain and wind too.

Very weak, unstable, useless product, my kayak fell off my car while using these

I was stuck in traffic on 295 North in Maryland driving 30-35 miles per hour with my kayak very securely tied down to the roof of my car, but the blocks themselves warped and gave out from the weight of the kayak, causing the kayak to fall off my car on to the side of the highwayFortunately this was a slow stretch of highway and there was traffic so nobody was driving fast behind me, so I was able to secure my kayak again securely but only using the rope to hold the kayak in placeI would not…
