Buy them if you have very hard water.

Our well water contains a lot of iron. Pleated filters last longer in strong drafts. Other types of filters will load too quickly and the water pressure will drop to zero. We put this filter in front of the water softener to keep it from clogging.

WILL NOT FIT STANDARD 10 " FILTER HOUSING

This sediment filter is too long to fit in one of my filter housings (iSpring, Hydronix or Hydro Logic). Absolutely not suitable for most 10" housings as advertised. You can force it to fit but it bends and distorts the filter making the pleats very uneven. I have used various brands of replacement filters but this one does not work for my devices.

THEY WORK VERY WELL FOR THE AMOUNT SPENT. CHEAPER THAN RETAIL HD AND L

I HAVE 3 HOUSES THAT USE WELL WATER. I WORK 3 INSTALLATIONS FROM 2 DIFFERENT BRANDS. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SOME LIFETIME ISSUES, THESE FILTERS GET THE WORK DONE. IN ONE OF MY FILTER SETTINGS (as stated in another comment) THE FILTER WILL WHEN YOU PRESS THE BODY. THIS IS NO BIG DEAL AS THE FILTER STILL RETAINS ITS INTEGRITY. MAINTAINING THE ACCURACY PROPOSED BY THE MANUFACTURER WILL INCREASE COST SIGNIFICANTLY. ALTHOUGH MOST WON'T DISCOVER THIS PROBLEM, I DON'T DRINK FROM THIS WATER, SO I PART OF…
