My 3 year old daughter LOVES them. I remember playing with these dolls as a kid. Its simplicity makes it a great toy! Good quality. The smallest one was difficult to open at first but now it opens normally. Bright happy colors. Cute faces painted on dolls. When I was a child we had a range of nesting dolls and my 4 year old just discovered some at a friend's house. I searched a lot before deciding on this doll set. Some sets were oddly shaped, some had scary faces, and some didn't have enough dolls. Everything in this set is beautifully painted, right down to the smallest doll. Reminds me of a set we had as a kid and my daughter loves them so much.

These dolls are very beautiful. Very good work, that's why I give 2 stars. However, the second doll seems to have been sealed with shellac. Unable to open. Even my husband tried to pry them off. I ordered this for my 5 year old granddaughter for Easter. I agree with another reviewer who said there was wood dust everywhere when I opened the box. Also, one of the inner dolls wobbles a bit when opening and closing (not a very secure closure) and some of the dolls are too tight together. At the same time, I carefully cleaned the dolls from dust, and now they look pretty cute, there are no splinters or anything sticking out anywhere.
