I use it for live training!

I use it in combination with my digital ski coach and my real ski coach when I'm not at home. That's great! I get instant feedback. Have convenient controls. Very convenient. I can't remember skiing without being able to listen or speak so easily.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • I don't like it that much, it's ok

The range is terrible. for accessories

Range definitely NOT up to half a mile. We're driving along the east coast, I turn and lose contact with my partner a quarter of a mile away. It's nice to keep in touch when people are speeding or falling down a mountain, icy patches, pods etc, but other than that the range is terrible.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Parents are a game changer

Bought three of these to ski with my 7 year old boys. With a little care, they are put into youth helmets for the start on gyroscopes. You can make all couplings from one set. Full three-way (according to the manufacturer up to 4-way), worked perfectly. Slight separation issue with kids yelling into mic but we got over that. Training while skiing, warning of obstacles and chatting between armchairs in the lift is a completely new approach.

Great intercom for the price.

I truly vowed to myself that I would never buy a Sena product again. However, being the only product of this type, I broke my tongue and bought a pair. As a company, Sena is one of the worst when it comes to quality control, guarantees, etc. For the price I had in mind I wouldn't mind if they broke. I'm currently sitting in $600 Sena helmet intercoms as the covers have rotted away from UV damage. They don't repair or fix them. I was told I would have to buy a new set. Cardio was a great company

Better than expected sound quality - works with Smith Vantage Helm

So I bought a pair of these headsets for our family. To sum it up, they are pretty good and I would recommend them. I'm a music lover and wasn't expecting much from these headphones but I was pleasantly surprised. Other similar devices tend to lack bass and have poor reviews. The headphones were in perfect condition and I really liked them! I didn't listen to them at high volume because I like to hear what's going on around me, but as soft background music they sounded great. use as an…

  • Motorbike & Weightlifting
Cons
  • Doubt

These are amazingly useful as an intercom. I wasn't sure how much I would want an "intercom" when skiing/skiing out west. Looking back, I should have realized how valuable they are when you're out on the road with a group. For example, if someone wants to walk through the trees or run parallel, you can easily keep in touch. "Beware of this stone" is a valid warning. We ski with young children and used to have to stop at every intersection to make sure they didn't get lost or go the wrong way…
