Price equals product in helmet communications

Sound does not contain bass. Low quality sound. But does what you pay for. When you take a voice note, the sound is almost inaudible

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Crumpled

Rockin in the Free World

product arrived quickly! Installation wasn't difficult. The sound isn't bad, but it's not amazing (I'm pickier than most). works great with calls. I haven't used the voice recognition aspect yet. The bluetooth connection works pretty well. crashes sometimes, but not often.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • functionality

Great simple intercom. Especially for Vespa trips

Ideal as an intercom between me and my wife on your Vespas. Sound quality could be better. But it works for a bit of background noise on long drives. With the intercom system, the voice quality is excellent, there are no problems with wind noise, etc.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Negative impression

3s reliability beyond 30km

I got an old 3s intercom and it was great for listening to navigation, music and phone calls. Survived 30,000 years. Louder speakers, longer battery life. No smartphone app, no problem. The only thing on the outside of the helmet are the buttons. love my 3s

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Not loud enough for use on high-speed motorcycles

This product is easy to use, but the speakers are too quiet. I can hardly hear the music with soundproofing + wind. You cannot connect headphones to this device, which is a shame. I have to send this thing back. Your best bet is to buy a helmet that you can plug into soundproof headphones, or just plug into your phone like plebeians.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Small things

Amazing sound in a helmet!

Great sound! Loud - road test at 50mph on my Harley Breakout - so you know it was loud. Could have a normal conversation on the intercom! My buddy said he didn't hear any wind noise when I was driving at over 80km/h! Wonderful. As you can see from my photos I had to buy speaker enclosures for $25 BC the only way to fit them into a half helmet like me. Hope this helps with your decision.

Utility won't connect to Sena

During the initial setup I was told to update the firmware. I updated the firmware from the computer, factory reset the headset and now it won't connect to the Sena utility. Music and phone still work. Sena's utility application is bullshit, not impressed, it may have returned: it connected after trying to reset the error on the device. the app is still rubbish and like my other sena device, only half the advertised features work.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

More than I want but all I need

I just needed Bluetooth for my phone music and navigation. I don't interact between bikers and have no interest in talking on the phone while riding. I tried a cheaper Bluetooth headset speaker first, but the auto message volume was too loud and I couldn't turn it down. So I returned it and paid three times more for these Sena 3s. But it really works, the control buttons are more comfortable, and the build quality is better. You get what you pay for. I just use it without the mic (didn't even…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only
