I've been using this* for decades based on the advice of my septic. My system was installed in 1962 and continues to work. I think that's because I keep track of everything that goes down the drain - basically just ScottTissue, septic laundry, dishwasher and dishwashing liquid. No garbage pickup, cigarette butts, baby wipes, women's products, dental floss, coffee grounds. Basically just poop, pee and TP and that's the monthly treatment* and RidX before that.

I love a container that will hold its value over the years. Another big bonus is the label that allows you to mark each month that you use it. Great for those like me who can't remember 10 minutes. The review asked about the scent. There isn't, so that's a plus. Who knows what it smells like when the bags dissolve in the septic tank, but I don't care. Effectiveness will only be proven over time. Hope this is a quality product that works!

we will be posting an update. Because it works so well we booked another year. This was the only septic tank treatment that got rid of occasional odors, so we gave it a try. Not only does it keep things running, but it also gets rid of the occasional odor. It is very easy to use and the 12 month calendar on the lid makes it easy to keep track of when the next pack needs to be applied. Great product that really works. Thanks.Bill
