Description of Servicetrace Software Test Automation

Run software robots from Servicetrace as digital testers to increase test efficiency and cut testing costs. Servicetrace software robots operate software on the graphical user interface (GUI) just like human users: they identify content on the screen, click elements and enter characters. This enables software robots to perform any GUI test automatically – accelerated, around the clock and error-free.

Great experience, has room to grow even further

I love that it's easy enough for my team of less tech savy people but there are few features we still need such automation in other areas or more tests would be great! It does have some quirks at times which can get frustrating when you're trying figure out how something works - especially if your not used with this type of tool/software before so don't expect too much help initially :). We use servicetrace mainly during our QA stage where most errors come up here first anyway and then once…

Pros
  • Also being able to link multiple test cases
Cons
  • None

The visual representation of automation is really helpful in terms of tracking what's being tested by each robot without having to rely heavily on code or technical knowledge about how it works internally! I've been using this for over 2 years now but have only recently started seeing that there has been some improvements with new features since then. It also takes time before you start noticing significant benefits from adding more than one tester. There are two different options when setting…

Pros
  • Easy navigation within application.
  • Wide platform variety
  • Ability create custom test case scenarios at runtime (i think)
Cons
  • Poor documentation
  • No ability run parallel executions
