Won't buy again

I ordered these to save money. The ones I bought in the store were $1 more expensive and much better quality. It's not that bad, mind you, just not nearly as good or tight.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • No performance

When it comes to hand tools, size matters

Extra large clamps. Finally a clip that can be operated with one hand is big enough to hold two 2x4s together. Clamping force is moderate, about 15 lbs. Maximum inner shaft width is approximately 3 7/8 inches.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Updates

Not very strong. Best in Hand Tools

Like everything else, products become cheaper, weaker and less durable over time. The old version of these clamps were MUCH STRONGER - these are comparatively weaker. The plastic on the tips is paper thin.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Little things

Just what I needed for Hand Tools

This is just what I needed to keep the lid on my above ground pool! They are metal and appear to be fairly sturdy brackets. Let's see how they will work with our winches this winter. Reasonably priced and I will be ordering more to use around the pool!

Pros
  • Tools and Household Items
Cons
  • Crumpled Wrapping

Very thin and too light for spring.

All I can say is that shipping was fast, plus I don't see how I would use them. The metal is so thin that the entire clamp flexes, and the spring is so light that it gives up before it fully closes. I'm not sending them back because I didn't read the reviews and I think it's my fault. They should be withdrawn from sale.

Pros
  • Hand Tools
Cons
  • Concise Instructions

Weak and may not hold up very well.

They are big and weak. But I use them to hold 12 inch buffs in groups of three. They're perfect for that. I think they would hide two 2 x 4s together if they didn't secure them. My problem with them is that they tend to slip - I'd say they "grab" rather than "grab" if you get my meaning. They grip onto cloth buffing pads, but when multiple boards are pushed together, the wood can slip out. If you are looking for powerful clamps, this is not it. If you need to keep things together without a lot…

Pros
  • spring clips
Cons
  • so far so good
