Description of Set of glasses Riedel Veritas Champagne Wine Glass for champagne 6449/28, 445 ml, 2 pcs.

Glasses of the Veritas series are 15% taller and 25% lighter than the products of the Vinum line. They combine the charm of handmade wine glasses with the durability of machine-made glasses. Products of the Veritas line are made of lead crystal by mechanical blowing and have an unsurpassed elegant subtlety and transparency. Such glasses are produced using nanotechnology, which was developed by the specialists of the factory in Weiden (Germany). From its inception to this day, sparkling wine has been an essential attribute of any festive event. Serving such a drink in a special glass "Veritas Champagne Wine Glass" on a long thin stem, with a high elongated bowl, allows you to gradually and for quite a long time release the gas bubbles rising in the glass. For three long centuries, 11 generations of the Riedel dynasty from Austria have been manufacturing glass products that delight the whole planet with their elegance and quality. Riedel now has an export rate of 97%. The company is the undisputed leader in the global production of such glassware. Riedel produces glasses tailored to the varietal specificity of grapes - for those who are commonly called true wine connoisseurs. The company also produces Casual glasses - for everyday use. The inscription RIEDEL in words is applied to each product made by hand. Machine-made products are printed with the RIEDEL logo. Such an inscription makes it possible to distinguish hand-blown products from machine-made ones. But any glass is developed, taking into account the specifics of each grape variety, so that the wine can be enjoyed. Johann Leopold Riedel set up in Bohemia in 1756 the production of glassware of the highest quality, which still remains exemplary. Riedel successfully survived the end of the monarchy. However, the end of World War II left the Riedel family without property in Czech Bohemia. It lost all its enterprises and assets. There was no hope for a revival, but. The Riedel family was supported by the Tyrolean glass manufacturers Swarovski. In 1956, Klaus Riedel, together with his father Walter, bought a bankrupt glass factory in Tyrol. And in 1973, he became the author of an invention that returned the Riedels to the number of leading glass manufacturers on the planet. We are talking about the first line of unique wine glasses. Today the whole world knows them under the Sommeliers brand. The representative of the next generation, Georg J. Riedel, introduced another important innovation in 1986. These were the first ever machine-made glass glasses designed for different types of wine - Vinum. These turned out to be the most popular wine glasses of all time!

The glasses are chic: the shape of the bowl, the thickness of the glass, the stem, the diameter of the base - everything is perfect, as they say "neither reduce nor add". It is very pleasant to hold in hands. Ringing "rich". The volume is ideal for white wine (I took it for still white wine, I don’t drink sparkling). The packaging is excellent, it's a pity to throw it away)) The main disadvantage is the price. Yes, Riedel was never cheap, but I choked the toad for a long time, and even then I…

Pros
  • 1. Appearance (form). 2. Quality.
Cons
  • 1. Price. 2. By modern standards, glass is not the thinnest.
