Firstly, as I regularly leave dishes in the sink overnight, I appreciate the absence of bad smells in the morning since I switched to this product over 6 months ago. In the past, using Palmolive could be pretty gross. I know I have to do the dishes at night, but I'm just too tired at this time of day. Although this dishwashing detergent is not as strong as chemical-based liquids, it works well for our purposes. We use a dishwasher (in our particular case, it uses less water than a hand wash), but we hand wash and lightly wash everything that's made of silicone and pyrex bakeware before loading the dishwasher. I bought this product without trying this brand and so far I am quite happy with it. The reason I chose this was because it was the cheapest dishwashing liquid with mostly positive reviews and now I understand why. The soap smells wonderful with a very light natural scent. It's not full of flavor like your regular commercial brands. In terms of performance, it works just as well as any other soap. I don't feel it works any better or worse than other soaps.
