It's a nice piece but obviously easy to damage! I just received my replacement because the original mug had a huge wound and an ugly wound! This also has a scratch but smaller in size and depth. I think it might happen while packing. I can only justify buying such damaged items at subsidized prices so unfortunately I will be returning them again.

This is a very pretty fruit bowl. The wood is pleasant and smooth with a nice texture. Love the two banana hooks on top - we had a bunch of red bananas and a bunch of yellow bananas the other day and it was nice to have space to hang both. I also like the fact that the bowl is separate from the hanger. This makes it easy to add fruit without having to push everything onto the countertop.

I've read online that it's not good for bananas when other fruits are ripening around them because they all give off different gases that can speed up ripening, and that it's best to put the bananas in a bowl, but it was too good not to try. Pretty much what my title said. This is a sturdy hook with a wire frame and bowl (separate) made out of the usual cheap plastic as you'd expect. To just hold fruit and hang bananas I don't need anything fancy and each part is strong and does what you need. Just remember that both bananas and apples produce a chemical that causes the fruit around them to ripen faster, so don't leave the fruit in that bowl for too long or it will be a mess (got it hard Tour found out).
