Bought cheap $10 balun pigtails and was right at their advertised limit (just under 300 feet) and they had an awful high. **UPDATE** After fixing the issues I was having turning the sound on and off, it turned out that the problem was with the amp settings I was using on the receiving side of the signal used . I used this to send a line signal from a small amplifier behind my TV to a subwoofer at the front of the room. The problem for me was that I had to run the wire about 5 inches away from an electrical wire, and line level signals are incredibly susceptible to EMI, especially when going into a powered subwoofer.
