Singer 66 bolts wrong size

The bolts didn't fit my old Singer 66. They are tight, I'll check when I figure out the correct thread pitch. Also, it seems to do a great job of keeping the fabric straight.

Pros
  • Same as all others so far
Cons
  • Something different

Works on my Brother HC1850 (flip)

yes it works on my Brother HC1850 but you need to buy the M3 6mm screw separately. I was able to buy an M3 6mm 1/4" screw at my local hardware store for 23 cents but it still works if I reverse the T-rail. Sooo happy :)

Straight seams.

Guide for straight seams or large, gentle curves. This is the longer of the two straight rails. The front is about 1Β½ inches in front of the sewing machine needle. Thus, it is designed for straight seams, as it is difficult to turn the fabric in tight curves. Insert the screws into the screw holes on the base of your machine. screws included. on my Juki TL lockstitch machine.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not for everyone

If you're looking for something that feeds close to the presser foot and needle this isn't for you, it doesn't move far enough to the right for wide hems. If someone maybe has a different machine than mine (old heavy brothers who only sew straight and zigzag), then maybe something can be done. I'm sure I can use it somehow somewhere. Good strong quality.

Nice addition to my car.

This works on my White 1632 machine which I bought from Hancock Fabrics over 10 years ago. I gave it four stars because of the way it's constructed: The T-bar portion is so thick between the edge and the end covering the end of the hole where the screw stops that I only used it for 5/8- inch seams or less. So I may need to try a magnetic guide when making a 1 inch or larger seam. I've uploaded a couple of pictures showing the guide set to 1/2" and then set as far away from the needle as…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Suitable for Brother HC1850 sewing machines!

Update: I replaced the screw with an M3 0.5x6mm socket head cap screw from Home Depot. It fits just right. A 3-pack costs about 50 cents. I needed a stronger guide than my magnetic one and it works great! I have a Brother HC1850 sewing machine and this is exactly what I was looking for! Although I had to get another set screw as the ones that come with the kit are too big, it was worth it. Sewing machine accessories are very expensive. I used a #2 T8 Torx machine screw I had laying around. I've
