Previous knowledge of sewing supplies required

I have no sewing experience. When I bought this book, I thought my kids and I could learn a new skill together. I copied the materials list at the beginning and went to a craft store. The nice lady in the sewing department (who I assume knows a bit about sewing) couldn't find an exact match for the consumables. She took me to things she thought were the same, but it was a disappointing experience. I would like this book to be assuming no prior knowledge. If the lady in the sewing shop didn't…

My son LOVES it

It was important to my husband and I that our 10-year-old son had a well-rounded education and a foundation in life, so he should knowing how to change the oil and sew on a button or make minor repairs. However, when I was looking for some sort of introduction to sewing for kids, everything seemed made specifically for girls. I am so thankful that I came across this book! Great book for sewing beginners!

We bought this book for my daughter for her 7th birthday and she loves it. She made many projects from this book and it took about 4 weeks to complete. Although she needs help in some places, she has completed some projects on her own. The descriptions are great and the designs are cute and to the point (simple). The pictures are good too and my daughter loves looking at them with the kids and reading their sewing quotes. This book is great for sparking creativity. The only negative I can say…
