All brushes are smaller than expected. They are dense but the bristles are very hard so makeup doesn't lay as I like as they are not very elastic. The foundation brush applies liquid foundation in stripes. And the powder brush was too small to properly set my liquid makeup with loose powder. I'm used to MAC brushes and only bought this set for travel but I have to say I was totally impressed with the quality of these brushes. Very soft and the perfect size to fit in a bag or suitcase. My only reason for an overall 4 star rating is that I really want the case it came in to stay upright and the solenoid valve to stay open.
