I got stones with a propeller: 120 and 320. The choice of the grit value of stones, in my subjective opinion, should be somewhat different: for rough sharpening - 180.240; to form a sharpening angle of 320-400; actually sharpening-800; finish-1500. After fix on the belt with GOI paste. If the knife is very old and the cutting edge is uneven, then a 120 or better personal file will do. The same for diamond stones: 180-240 - for sampling chips on ceramic knives; 400-formation of the sharpening…

Compared to the previous sharpener (it was a regular one with a platform without a turning part), this one has a turning part in which the knife is attached, this is both a plus and a minus. The plus is that the knife is clearly fixed, the minus is that if the blade is large, like a hatchet, then there is no way to smoothly move it and sharpen it. And I liked the sharpener.
