Great on Unbleached Cotton Canvas

Purchased for use on Stretched Unbleached Cotton Canvas [Primed with Acid Free Acrylic Titanium Plaster] and THEY ARE GREAT! I used standard Sharpie markers, I had to layer to get a solid line, even then it wasn't clear. I switched to these felt tip pens and what a remarkable difference - one stroke and it glides across the canvas - less time, less effort, less waste. Bought in different colors and dots, wish they had more primary colors! Highly recommended.

Sharpie pens in cute pastel colors

I love markers. They are very good, bordering on excellent. Colors match body and names with very good/excellent response. They are also clearly visible on black paper. As with most markers/pens, their mechanics must be shaken and checked before attempting to write on the surface. It's a bit of a hassle to display the opacity value, since some of the medium holding the pigments in the pen is wasted each time. They don't take as long to dry as most other markers I've tried, sharpie pens are…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

I've been using them for a few months now and they're AMAZING! The color stays on even when rubbing the plastic with a soft, damp rag. They took a long time to work but be patient and they all ran in about 8 minutes. This is to be expected given their construction. I didn't notice any leaks at all. when I used them for a little (a few weeks) didn't use it the paint on the tip dried a bit (which is to be expected) and by gently scraping it off with a fingernail and shaking it was back on in less

  • Pleasant to use

Getting started with Sharpie markers.

Love it! The colors in this pastel set are just beautiful. Water-based Sharpie markers are my favorite pens for writing/drawing on construction paper and dark surfaces. I like how smoothly the opaque ink flows. I also like the Sakura Moonlight Gel Pens for drawing on black paper. But I'm always drawn to the Sharpies first. Sharpie paint (after it's primed) just flows more reliably and predictably; and the color bounces off the paper more intensely. They also work much better on textured…
