I've never worked with bike derailleurs or cables, but I had no problem installing them quickly, connecting new brake cables and using the shifter cables provided . They switch flawlessly both up and down in their ranges. 200 km driven, very satisfied.

Easy assembly! Works perfectly! Of course, adjustments need to be made when installing new cables. I watched a few videos about Park Tool. You were very informative. They will inform you of any accommodation and what they are doing.

These derailleurs are easy to install to replace my worn out existing derailleurs. The hardest part was removing the handlebars. It was good value for money and it was easy enough to mount and route the cables. It's better than taking it to a bike shop and paying $$$ to have them do it for you. Overall a really good buy.

Excellent switches, choice of materials is clearly cheap but that is to be expected with switches this cheap. The switch indicator window is cheap plastic, most likely PC, and it already has scratches (bought back in early June). The actual shifting itself is great and for the price I would definitely recommend it.

So I'm buying two sets to move two mountain bikes from shift to shift. In each box, one of the switches isn't packaged properly, the cable is loose, and they definitely have fingerprints on the loose switch. Bought these to wear to my Schwin MTB girlfriends. It had gears on it. I already had one of these on my Motobecane Phantom DS so I knew they were good. I put her on her bike with relative ease. Great switches. They are Shimano which is why I chose them. Installation was pretty easy despite the lack of hardware in the box (more on that below). After setting the cable to the correct tension I went for a test ride and am glad I chose this Shimano EF-ST500. They replaced the stock "rotary" shifter on my cheap mountain bike and greatly improved the ease, speed, and accuracy of shifting. Also, the brake levers are long pull and my brakes work even better than before. This is a good product.
