The pad is too thin. offers no consolation.

I bought this for a metal stool that needed padding, but when I received this product the padding was too thin.Tentacles are the same with or without memory foam.Pad height is only 1" (see photo of digital caliper measurement). Of course. even with padding. It feels like there is no padding at all. Memory is too thin. Given the high reviews from others, I expected it to be better than it was. So come back and get a refund.

Comfortable and gives an upgrade to your standard chair.

I got these to go with our standard school style stools - metal with a light seat. I like the style of the chair though. not so comfortable for long periods of time. It's at our dining/desk, so. we had to fix it. These cases look great, are very durable and well made. I just washed and machine dried them and they turned out amazing. Like new. They never wear out, I swear. We have black ones. They give the chairs elegance and make them look classier. Definitely buy it if you're still thinking…

Moderately better suited to home decor

I've been teaching from a stool for several months and it was uncomfortable at best. It's already over, but I figured something new would help me. Pros: It's thicker than the original padding (which I left). The sleeve is large enough to cover my original upholstery, about 1 inch thick. Looks beautiful. in place Cons: It's not tight at all. If I were to use it alone, I'm pretty sure it would only be marginally better than the previous pad - although that's the gist. I would most likely not buy…

Other reviews are right: This foam is too thin. At least under my weight (170 pounds, 6'1") the memory foam breaks down so completely that I might as well be sitting upright in my hard chair (I sit on the edge of the chair on my "sitting bones" for posture ) BUT -- eventually "customers also bought" listed FoamRush 2"x12"x12" foam padding, which I then bought and it's *perfect* -- regular foam (no memory Foam) so doesn't break down as much and shape your butt and I can sit all day.
