Functionality and affordable price

When I first saw this clamp, the word "beautiful workmanship" did not come to mind. The molding is of course a little rough around the edges. Maybe I got a bad one, then again probably not. Anyway I filed away the sharp edges and burrs, cleaned up a bit and now it's perfectly fine and quite usable. It's better than paying twice as much for a specialty item sold at a craft store. I don't use them enough to justify it, I'm just an amateur and not a pro.

Requires modification to work properly

Bridge rises on an old 12 string acoustic guitar. plastic cap on the threaded stem and drilled a hole in my bridge fork for centering. Also, the stationary portion of the yoke was sanded and glued to a 3/4 inch piece of softwood to improve clearance and prevent slipping. bottom line. It all worked but could have been designed better.

Decent but should probably use the one pot mac version

I haven't even had the chance to use this yet but based on my experience with carriers I can already tell you that the biggest issue with this particular product is that means you need a bond coat and you need to put some kind of support under the bridge plate so it can hook onto it. If you don't put anything on the bridge plate, this thing compresses the C clamp on the guitar and prevents you from biting the bridge itself. Keep that in mind, otherwise it will do its job just fine and it's very

Nice clip for guitar repair.

Like some of the other people here I like to use it for gluing guitar bridges and it's sold here for about half the price it sells in specialty stores. This is a relatively cheap, reasonably effective clamp for any suitable purpose requiring light to moderate clamping force. As with most cheap clips, don't expect too much attention to the finish. It feels like a raw cast, but nothing uncomfortable or potentially dangerous. If using it for guitar repairs, be sure to use gaskets and supports for…

Serviceable clamps, not the best quality

Someone else has noticed the rough appearance of the parting line of the casting and the overall roughness of the clamp makes it less than ideal. One of the three clamps I ordered is visibly deformed, as if it wasn't fully cured before being pushed out of the molding machine. The general grayness and graininess of the metal feels like recycled aluminum and who knows what else. They are serviceable, but some adjustments are needed, most notably the solid base where the adjustable pressure pad…

The manufacturer was not harmed.

Like this C-Clip Deep Throat will do what I wanted to do with it: I'll fix a crack in the body of the guitar, tape off the bridge on the acoustic guitar and fix the cracked brace on another acoustic guitar. Dislikes: the manufacturer, it seems. couldn't get the clip out of the mold fast enough and throw it at the door. Constructed from cast aluminum, not the slightest effort was expended to trim or deburr the casting. The manufacturer is either unaware or doesn't care that simply removing the…
