The hose twists on both ends of the connector, and additional connectors (not couplers) are included that fit directly into the VAC. Well packaged so don't worry about kinking the hose.

I really like adding this to my existing Shop Vac hose to increase its range. Although they're not hard enough. They break easily when bent slightly. The original hose does not.
