Lid broke within the first week. The rest of the clock shows the exact time. The design was like the photo in the catalogue. Only the lid, which made up a large part of the charm of the gift watch, could not be put back on.

My nephew wanted a pocket watch for Christmas. When I saw this piece I thought it would be perfect for him. When he opened it on Christmas morning he was delighted, but I was a bit disappointed: the chain feels cheap and isn't of the same quality as the watch. Our solution was to replace the chain with one that better suited the watch.

Beautiful watch received many compliments on day one and only the chain was visible. Much luck! The loop holding the chain came loose after a few weeks. I just used a ring and put it on the adjustment knob. The update was done over a year ago and it's still holding up a good time, but the eagle cap broke about 6 months ago.

I bought 2 of these as Eagle Scout gifts. It's a nice watch and I think it's a good gift. They are well made and the open lid is a nice personal touch. We're looking forward to the day of the COH awards ceremony so we can see how the boys like it.

This watch was dispatched in record time and was packaged very well and appears to be very well made. The only possible problem is that it doesn't come with an extra battery, so I don't know if the battery can be replaced when it dies. Although it works very well I will take it to Batteries Plus for now and they will try to replace the battery when the time comes.

Bought for my son who prefers pocket watches. He's had two in the last two years and they both broke pretty quickly. He is very happy with this watch and it works great. It's a nice design and I think it's very suitable for both a young man (my son is almost 20) and an older man. A lot can be said about the simple, traditional things in life.
