🎧 Shure SM31FH-TQG Fitness Headset Condenser Mic Review

The product itself works great, the sound quality is as expected. After about six months of 3 to 4 times daily use by an instructor, it started to show sound quality and make grating noises. It's covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but it's a process that needs to be completed, so getting a new one was easier. Hopefully the Asurion lighting here will help you swap out units quicker than the Shure itself.

I've been using this for my live workouts on Zwift for a few months now. It is very light, almost invisible when working with it. The only possible downside is that the mic picks up wind noise from a small fan I placed in front of me. I solved this problem by moving the fan to the side and the wind noise was gone. You'll also need time to set up the speakers so there's no echo, but it's worth a few minutes of effort.

I switched to this headset after my other Shure broke down less than a year later. I was hoping it would be worth investing a little extra in my next set - and so far so good! I really like how much stronger this one seems. I make sure to dry it after each session, also remove the windscreen and leave the mic hanging until the next time I use it. I also never wrap the cord tightly around the TV, so I'm hoping my good habits will ensure it has a long life.

I am very disappointed with this product. I've bought about 5 in the last 2 years. Everything works fine for a month or two and then either the mic or the bodypack suddenly either 1) stops working, 2) makes a horrible scratching noise, or 3) makes no sound. I bought this headset to use with the system at the gym for cycling classes. I got this set because I knew it would work with the attitude. Please make sure your system is compatible with this headset before purchasing. Since the gym already has everything I need, I can just hook it up to the battery they have.
