Good switch for your engines

This switch will do a great job of protecting your engine if it ever stalls or runs out of oil before you know it. The only problem is that it doesn't come with the schematic it should. However, contact the manufacturer directly and they will send you a schematic that you can use for free.

  • Faulty

My mechanical fuel pump was replaced with an electric fuel pump, but for fire safety reasons it was necessary to switch it off when the engine was switched off. This switch did it. A tee was added to the oil pressure line to allow both the gauge and this switch to work. The fuel pump operates with a wire from the starter motor via the NC switch terminal, but oil pressure is required after starting to continue to power the electric fuel pump via the NO switch terminal. The relay rating is 12V…

Thread too big for GM

I ordered this part thinking I could mount it to the block with an adapter but could only find a 2" steel extension or a 1/2" brass extension. For marine applications I didn't want to use brass to avoid corrosion of dissimilar metals. The steel extension tube available in speed shops was too long to fit. So if you're a GM deal, skip it and buy an A68301 crankcase if you want to shut off at 2-4 pounds of oil pressure, or a Mr gasket if you want to shut off fuel at 15 pounds of oil pressure. both

Not a genuine replacement for Carter A68301

Purchased as an alternative to the Carter A68301 Fuel Safety Sensor. First, Carter has a 1/8" NPT threaded fitting, while this assembly has a 1/4" thread (not mentioned in the product description). So if your oil pressure port has 1/8" NPT threads like I do, you'll need to add a few extras. pipe fittings. The unit I received was defective or not a genuine replacement. The Sierra OP72533 has the same pin markings as the Carter but the block I received had no continuity between the P&S contact…
