Only works wide open on Canon digital cameras

Like other Sigma lenses from the era this lens was made in, this lens does not offer aperture control on modern Canon DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. The lens will work on modern digital cameras, but the aperture will be wide open.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Almost never

YOU NEED INSTALLATION! Make sure you do your homework.

The lens itself is spectacular. I'm only giving four stars because I want people to know that if you have an EOS camera you need a mount. I bought a Canon Rebel T3 and mount which should be arriving soon. As soon as I receive it I will update the rating. Update: I keep being told that this lens fits my Canon T3 EOS. It's not like this.

Pros
  • Quick Exchange
Cons
  • Contact Seller

NOT suitable for Canon DSLR. It is for Pentax K mount

this is not canon mount. I'm going to find out what it is and I asked my professor at school. Here are pictures of the mount on the lens that was sent to me. I will return it if I or a friend can't use it. I will return it if I can't use it. Oh I tried attaching it to a Canon AE1 film camera and it didn't work on that camera. I don't think it's a lens for a Canon camera. It drives me crazy to advertise it as such. This lens was for the Pentax K-mount. Check the bottom before you buy. and google

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • crumpled

sigma stigma who knew

the endless search for a decent cheap 300mm lens is over. Once you've got a Canon 400mm L lens, it's hard to "mute" it, so to speak. All I want is a sharp image at 300mm and not that sharp, 8 out of 10 sharpness is fine. I now have a total of 4 Canon 70 300mm lenses, all used but in very good condition. they were soft at 300 a piece so they were sold shortly after they arrived. my camera is canon t3i. Here are the lightweight, compact pros. The focus is satisfactory and the images are clear…

Pros
  • everyone used to like it
Cons
  • definitely a bad product
