Breaks. Avoid. for cycling

Owned for just over a year. Slightly used. A speed bump passed. POP! The bag falls off. The "indestructible" spectral cord of the "boa constrictor" system has snapped. It's a shame what that thing costs. All other attractive design elements have nothing to do with the breaking of the attachment mechanism, like the Huffy. Avoid.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Legacy model

Innovation in sport

I rode it today and I really like it so far. I love the BOA system in general and hate velcro in general so I love the design. I would check the tension after every fall or hard landing, but it seems safe. I can easily reach back and check the tension while riding on a straight and flat section of track.

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Well made saddlebag

I really like this item. I wasn't concerned about weight or size when purchasing it, I was just looking for an easy to use backpack that would fit inside. I can fit a tube, multi-tool, mini-pump and a few tire changers with extra space. I really like the BOA system. This is a quality product.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

almost like it won't grip properly

Saddlebag doesn't bother my legs which I was hoping for when I bought it. This is a large seat pocket that will fit all the usual stuff and 2 tubes for extra protection during the day. The zipper seems a bit odd in the closure, like it doesn't close properly. In any case, it works and has an effect for several months.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

More than meets the eye

I gave this bag 5 stars because it is well made and feels high quality, however this saddlebag is a little larger than it looks. I'm sitting pretty far forward, so that thing hangs way back. I have a spare 700 gravel Tubolito tube, 2 16g Co2s with a small pump head, a small multi tool, 2 thin Simpson tire levers and an extra chain link and this bag was too big.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Poorly done in Seat Packs

After a ride in the rain I couldn't open it. It took 30 minutes of zipper work to unzip 1/2. Inside, everything was not just wet, but covered with sand. The case and zipper are not specifically designed to handle the elements. If there's even the slightest chance you'll be driving anywhere but 70 and in the sun or anything but perfectly clean tarmac, spend your money elsewhere.

The cable broke in several races.

Just the right size, everything fits (two hoses, two CO2, small multi-tool, inflator). Good ratchet system. Obviously, however, the cable is loosely attached to the bag. After a few trips to the property, I drove through a section of very rough road and the cable broke - if the driver hadn't stopped behind me I could have lost the bag entirely. This clearly cannot be fixed, so I lost $50 on a bag that has endured multiple trips. :-/Silca has a reputation for good design and quality, which I…

Performance Saddlebag

I bought this saddlebag to replace my old wedge style saddlebag that had a hole from rubbing against the seatpost. At first I was concerned that this saddlebag would be too big, but it's actually quite compact and only fits the bare essentials (multi-tool, CO2 regulator, 2 hoses, 2 CO2 cartridges). The seat pod sits snugly and neatly under the saddle and doesn't rattle when riding over rough terrain. Overall, while it can be expensive for a saddlebag, it does the job it was designed to do. And…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High Price

Seems like it's good. until you lose it

This saddlebag has several good qualities. And there are some really lame design elements that ruin everything. The hard seat bag idea is great - you can REALLY stuff this thing completely. Yes, the zipper is tight, but that's a good thing - I don't want it to rattle open and spill all my emergency supplies onto the street, causing even more trouble for the people behind me. I have two inner tubes, three CO2 cartridges, a park multi-tool, tire boots, two tire levers, a good Lezyne Pro CO2 pump,

Pros
  • Decent Performance
