Recently drove 133 miles on bad tarmac roads and it has worked very well. The mount dampens almost all vibrations from the road, so your phone doesn't move much in the mount. I have a turbo droid with an Incipio Dualpro case. It barely fits in the mount so I would expect the silicone to crack after some use.
