I bought it for my boyfriend. The first came with a crack, but this is most likely the result of delivery. I was able to return it easily via Amazon. My boyfriend loves the scuttle mug. I've shopped around quite a bit and this seems like a good deal for the price.

hot shave ahhh, feels so good!

Beautiful shaving bowl. It outperforms the competition because it has no logo and is black. It's like those hot razors. It's good. This ladle works best with barrister and man, not grease-based soap.

Great gift. Also for those who use safety or disposable razors this gift is perfect.

I have only used soap and a bucket so far but I have been impressed with the quality of this and the other items I have received. I got this set as a Christmas present because a year ago I decided to switch from the disposable and electric razors I've always used to a safety razor or straight razor. That thing rocks! Get ready to screw up!

I've been so spoiled by this wonderful little device since I bought it. I had no idea that something as simple as keeping lather warm could make shaving so much more enjoyable! The handle makes it very easy to hold so you get a good lather and the lugs help keep the lather at the right consistency (not too much water, not too little). Perfect for a razor shave or any shave you want to use shaving soap on!

The best shaving mug ever! The Scuttle Mug is the only way out!

I bought this mug for my husband for Christmas and he loves it! He said it retains the warmth of the foam during the shave and has plenty of room to handle the shaving cream. It's heavy enough that he doesn't have to lift it to stir the foam with a brush and still make a full bowl of foam. Gorgeous and very manly! It suits him and he is very happy.

Fantastic product, suitable for shaving soap

I love this soap, it smells great and helps me get a closer shave than the shaving gel I use, the brush lathers really well. Filling a cup with very hot water also helps a lot. In the future I plan to buy a Solomon razor.
