Type of review

I bought this after a review and suggestion from YouTube PC specialist Cary Holtzman who wrote it showed a direct link to Buy Silverstone at a discount. Although I know there are TWO types of M.2 drives, one works over SATA connections and the other is an NVMe type that plugs directly into the motherboard or PCIe card. SATA connections are the slower ones used by spinning hard drives. So I mistakenly assigned this cover to a PCIe drive when that container is meant for SATA drives only. This is…

Excellent case for mini SSD flash drives

This case is really good. It allows you to take a small (2242) m.2 SATA SSD and use it as a USB flash drive. This is a welcome change as most USB drives are pretty slow, and even the fastest ones are slower. The only SSD I've tried with this case is the KingSpec NT-512 and it works great. This drive rivals many full-size SATA drives, which is very impressive. I will definitely be buying more of these cases. A NOTICE. This case only runs at USB 2 speed when connected directly to my Mid 2015…

Cool SSD holder

Looks like the only one on the market with a retractable USB. My only criticism is that there is some play in the way it locks in place. Materials like the aluminum on the outside are very high quality - just wish there wasn't play in the mount when it snaps into place with the USB part inside or out. They've put a lot of effort into working on the other parts to make it great - this aspect makes it really cheap as the SSD isn't 100% locked into place when you plug it into a USB port or carry…
