Disappointing quality for newborns

When I tried this product, I was disappointed with the thin and scratchy material that could potentially irritate a baby's delicate skin. The design and patterns are cute, but the lack of softness and warmth make it unsuitable as a cozy, comforting blanket for a newborn.

Pros
  • Cute design and patterns.
Cons
  • Thin and scratchy material, not suitable for newborns.

Very thin and only of limited use.

From my wife: These beautiful blankets are single layered with folded edges which would have been nice if the quality of the flannel was better. They are very thin and have limited use. As seen in previous reviews, unless used as a temporary layer of protection between the baby and the surface, in my opinion, switching to spit cloth (although only two layers!) is the best option for these blankets. I will make my own and sadly never think of giving them away. I expected a lot more from Carters…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • is embarrassing

Rolled up after 1st wash. Not impressed

Now I'm waiting and bought them for our newborn. Like all my new baby clothes, I always wash them first. Outside of the bag, these are your standard quilts that you receive - after the first wash they will curl up (see photo) and not fold evenly. However, they are very soft, but if they look like that after a wash, I can't imagine them holding up the big scratchy tags on children's clothes - especially sleeping clothes. Brand.

Pros
  • While everyone likes it
Cons
  • Almost never
