The waist size was too big. When used backstage, they were tightened at the bottom of the braid and the top portion was arched upwards. I had to make them too tight so he could take them off himself so he could wear them. The length was ok. The fabric is great. I have now bought it in his size and another. If I can't carry them, I'm sure a little boy can.

I rarely write reviews on Amazon but I love these shorts so much I decided to write a review. I love these shorts. I had a hard time finding the perfect shorts for my 28 month old, even 2 year old shorts don't fit him. This product has been a lifesaver for me while potty training, skinny boy. The material is good and has functional drawstrings that keep it in place. You can opt for this if you are looking for something like this.

I have been buying Simple Joys for a long time and I am generally satisfied with their products. However, these particular shorts were a huge disappointment. As you can see from the photos, after about a month the stitching that connects the elastic waistband to the body of the shorts came undone on BOTH PAIRS. This is simply unacceptable and I advise others considering these shorts not to repeat my mistake. I wish someone had warned me.
