The enclosed Simplicity pattern provides instructions for (6) total bottoms, including (2) loose pants, (2) skirts, and (1) pair of shorts. Each piece can be sewn in women's sizes 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20. Maxi skirt pattern features a tailored waist with a tied accent piece and flowing aesthetic. Pants sewing pattern is primarily intended for casual wear, as are the shorts. Fit is loose and flowing and pairs well with typical t-shirts. Satin, crepe, and cotton fabrics are highly recommended.

I liked the end product

This model was a bit difficult for me. But it was the first thing I ever did. I thought, "Oh, a wrap skirt would be easy," ha, but it was a little tricky. I finished it though and I like the end result. There are many more skirts ahead of us.

  • . The pants pattern is primarily intended for everyday wear, like shorts. The loose and flowy fit goes well with regular t-shirts.

Size wide - use your own measurements.

Wrong size. I'm usually at 10:12 so I made 12 and then removed the front panels to add 2 inches to the fret. I like making big changes just to make the world work. The cut of the shorts is cute and the instructions are fairly simple, but beware of the sizing.

Pay attention to the size!

Revain did not include the back of the pattern in their description so you can refer to the size charts. Be careful. The sample sizes do not correspond to the standard dress sizes. (weird but true) you really need to check the measurements to make sure you are ordering the correct sample size. I will send this back and order the next size up.
