These hair clips are a steal at less than a dollar each. They're pretty strong. I have very thick, coarse hair that falls just below my shoulders. Barrettes keep hair light. I had a little trouble opening them with one hand while holding my hair with the other hand. This will likely be an issue with any clip like this. There is a good range of colors.

It's very hard to find a clip that fits my hair (elbow length, baby thin but lots of hair, wavy at the bottom and straight at the top). Hair ties don't hold my hair in place, but these bobby pins do!
