Another cheap item

The thimble isn't worth much. Little fingers could use it. The design of the Ripper is not very friendly. It feels like the blade was inserted upside down as there is a crease in the handle, but it doesn't seem to flex properly when you use it. Although overall it looks well built.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • makes you angry

Ideal for cleaning your vacuum cleaner.

Cleaning trick recommended by Pinterest: Use a seam ripper to pull out any hair that is stuck in the vacuum cleaner and cut it off. It's great for cutting and pulling with ease and reaching hard-to-reach places. Helps my Dyson run smoothly. I think it will work great for its intended purpose.

Pros
  • Not cheap, but decent
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent hand ripper

Comfortable to hold and reduces pressure on knuckles, very sharp and snaps stitches/thread easily, cap slips and stays easy, keeps blade sharp and prevents injury. I wish I'd bought one of these seam rippers sooner and I feel like it's a great value for the money although the thimble is thin and easy to disassemble.

Pros
  • Seam ripper
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Like this one!

I'm not the best seamstress, I often use a seam ripper. I took a beginner sewing class in college and bought a new seam ripper like this one. I liked it and so did my classmates. Someone always used it. It was 3 years ago. Since then I've used my original quite a bit. I lost it and then my granddaughter found it pulling the bed out of the sofa. It was tight and broke when we took it off. :( I know my new one will find many uses too.

Pros
  • Sewing
Cons
  • Small parts

A great gift for the sewer

I already have one of these. I have at least a dozen other rippers, but this one is the best one can get my hands on. And it's not hard plastic. It has a little "grip" to keep it in place while I'm using it. My seamstress friend was interested in it, so I bought her a second one as a small gift. And I love how the rubber end can be used to pull out the tiny bits of thread that are sometimes left behind in the fabric after a break. Just run the end over the fabric and they'll pop right out.

Pros
  • Sewing tools
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
