Excellent Rectifier for Garage Automotive Tools

Based on my experience, this bridge rectifier is a must-have for any automotive enthusiast. Works great so far

Used to convert a Lincoln AC-225 welder to DC. I've used it for about 4 hours of normal welding at 75A and it works great. When welded through a 1 5/32 rod at 225A DCEP, the back plate gets about 165F. It says it's rated at 302F "joint temp" but I can't tell what the temp at the joints might be , when the backplate is 165F.

Works very well. More than expected.

I had a VERY old 300A AC welder. Now it's DS! Yes! I also tried putting a big capacitor on it. Don't, just don't! I thought the cap would improve welding. It's not, but it made him dangerous. All he did was charge the cap so the wires stayed hot (charged) after the welder was turned off. The straightener worked great, but don't combine it with a cap. (Or at your own risk)
