I installed four of these speakers on the underside of a boat hard top. They are connected in parallel with two channels of a 60 W RMS amplifier. They handle the power and sound clean when played loud. A 10-inch subwoofer provides low-frequency bass to complete the sound system.

Bought 4 of these to install on my boat and one of them had 2 wires stuck in the housing. I removed 3 screws and then found a larger red wire that was pinched in one of the screws and the copper was exposed. How did they come out of the factory like that? Let's see how they sound and if they work at all.

I used these speakers to replace blown speakers in my floorstanding speakers. You really exceeded my expectations. Very responsive and the clarity of the speakers and especially the soft dome tweeters is surprisingly high quality, which I wasn't expecting. If they sound this good outdoors, they should also sound great in a boat or car.

very loud and clear. A very nice upgrade for my bike with a booster installed. The only issue is that it was a bit larger than the old speaker and I had to take some material off my bike to get it to fit properly, but it was worth it for such a clean sound. These Skar speakers appear to be a quality product. They are well packed in a nice box. The speakers themselves are strong and have some weight. When driven by a Kenwood amplifier at 50 watts per channel, they produce adequate sound. These aren't JL Audio, but for the money they're definitely worth it for those on a budget looking for the best value for money.

Our old boat had $36 BOSS MR6W speakers and they worked well with long throw and lots of bass, no amp or separate sub. In our new boat I decided to try these Skar speakers after reading all the hype. I can honestly say that the cheap BOSS MR6W speakers absolutely put these more expensive Skar speakers to shame. No comparison! I wish I could just go back to buying BOSS speakers instead.
