I bought these for my future second grader as he wears a uniform and needs black sneakers. We're still working on the lace-ups so they seem to fit. They fit decent but I wanted to go half a size up to make sure they lasted more than a few months (child life) but the price tripled so they came back.

After my second grade grandson started out with his sneakers tied every morning and came home untied every day, I had to buy these shoes. At first he thought they looked weird without a tie, but after 2 days he didn't want to wear anything else. To be honest when he was untied at school he NEVER tied them - I never found out why. Now I don't have to worry about him tripping and he doesn't look like a scumbag under his shoes anymore.

These are great shoes and we buy them every year in all colors for my son who is very picky about shoes. I like that you can throw them in the washing machine. The disappointing part of this purchase is that the price from this seller was higher than the price available directly from Sketchers. It was a $14 price difference but when I tried to return them for that reason it would have cost $12 to just send them back so I'm just keeping them. I wish I had looked better before buying.
