Though I thought the small size was the world helicopter parent's paycheck, it really is tiny. I bought this for my brother's daughter's first birthday and I don't think she will get it.

Mushroom, carrot, radish - all too small. Our little one almost swallowed a carrot. A small piece of green felt protruded from his mouth. Don't buy his toys for your child. Not sure!

Unfortunately this toy is not safe for children under 3 years of age. I wish I had read the other reviews first! The description says it is suitable for children from 1 to 3 years old but the box says it is not suitable for children under 3 years old and the vegetables are very small and round in shape. Pity!

It was a very nice, stable toy. However, I sent it back without giving it away as it is not safe for children. It's marketed for children 6 months and older, but all carrots are small enough to swallow and can cause choking. I have no idea how it passed the product safety test if it has small loose parts.

My son is just beginning to learn the pincer grip and this gift suits him very well. He didn't figure out the puzzle piece and put them back in the right holes, but he will put the little ones in the big holes! This will be a good puzzle toy for a few years. When my 6 year old nephew visited recently he liked the toy too. not very long because I figured it out quickly, but still.

If you have a child who puts EVERYTHING in their mouths then this toy is not for you. Small carrots are too small. Definitely a choking hazard. I immediately opened and closed the box and saw what a small carrot. My first child never put anything in his mouth and this toy would be perfect for her but not for my second child who thinks everything in his mouth is his. so know your baby Otherwise it's a nice toy.

Good firm carrot, fun to pull and replace. Pretty subtle sizing differences so a close fit works, they just don't sink to their full depth. Good challenge. Note that the tops of the carrots can be felt and a determined child may be able to rip them off, especially if they've been using their teeth. You can probably choke on even the smallest carrot. Not the kind of puzzle I would recommend for destructo-toddlers or very oral children. Amazing for my soft 19 month old baby.

This suggests it is 1 year old but once opened it is clear it poses a major choking hazard. Even the largest carrots are precisely shaped and sized to fit in a child's mouth and are not designed to prevent them from slipping down their throats. The little ones are even worse. Yes, it's cute, but with this toy, the child needs constant supervision. I'm surprised more reviews aren't talking about this. I think it is suitable for ages 5 and up. I will return the item immediately.
