It is not expensive, and if you have to collect it every time you use it, not using it but storing it can be a plus. Works, does what it promises. I would say it's ok but not great.

I bought this thing to save a few bucks but should have just bought the bamboo. That thing is so fragile! I couldn't even eat a piece of bread without it all falling apart.

I don't usually write bad reviews but this item was a waste of money. Garbage. Falls apart before and while the bread is in, not allowing a slice to be cut thick enough, and cutting twice the thickness of the plastic thing is too thick. Not adjustable either. Very disappointed.

This is a dangerous bread slicer as the plastic parts don't fit the base causing it to move which is not good when using a very sharp bread knife. It's thin, cheap, and doesn't even cost $10. Spend a little more money and get a better one that doesn't risk cutting your fingers.

After some use the guides will not stay in the grooves. After superglue they work very well. Although this was not the manufacturer's intention, the result is a product that can occasionally be used in bakeries. If you bake bread often, you might want to look for something more permanent. After gluing it still takes up less space than some of the larger woods.
