Love this apple slicer. It carves the apple core beautifully and makes precise apple slices. However, for some reason I'm having trouble applying enough pressure to the center of the core of the apples to start the process. Not sure why that is. but once it starts it cuts very well.

Works well, blades are sharp. It takes a little effort to get started, but once you do, it's pretty easy to use. The only real complaint is that the girth doesn't fit most watermelons I find on the market here, so I have to do very little "pre-shave" to fit it. In addition, it is glued well.

I bought these knives because I thought they were a lot stronger than Wally World's plastic frame knives. The first time I used it, the insert holding one of the blades fell out. I thought I would fix it with epoxy. It worked great! Because of this, the blades are now coming out of others, and one of the blades is broken in the middle. Great idea but bad design! and this cutter can only cut 10 melons!

. The blades do not move. I have not used it on any fruit 🍉. I used it to cut cake 🎂 into 12 pieces. It's easy to use, but just hard to make sure it's centered. There are cake markers but they will interfere with the frosting if removed. I just wish it didn't have a hole in the middle like cake cutters. Overall, this is a really good cutting job.

I bought an expensive plastic apple saw and it broke quickly. I ordered this heavy apple slice because of the terms "heavy duty" and "commercial". When I unboxed it I could tell it was of higher quality. It also cuts closer to the cutting board than my previous apple slicer. I read the reviews before receiving this and saw someone broke them. I was sorry to read this. I can't imagine that unless it's a manufacturing defect. It is great!

Although much better than the plastic ones, two of the blades came out because two "pegs" holding the blades to the ring fell out. This was after one use. We reattached them with monkey glue but they popped out the next time we used them. But cutting a watermelon in this way is very difficult. My husband is a tall/strong man and still had to use a stepladder to stand over the watermelon to gain strength to cut it. Save $35 and just slice them up with a butcher knife.

What I like about this product is that it is very durable. Unlike other plastic rimmed fruit slicers, they are fragile. I can easily press this slicer onto an apple or larger fruit. This saved me time cutting fruit for lunch and snacks. And the great thing is that this slicer can slice different sizes of fruit, no matter how big or small, so I don't have to go out and buy new slicers like the one that's just for apples or one that's just for watermelon. I would highly recommend this to anyone…
