A Game Changer for Precision Workholding

I had been looking for a reliable workholding solution for my jewelry-making projects, and this creative innovation has exceeded my expectations! Through trial and error, I found that it holds diamonds and stones firmly in place while allowing me to easily manipulate the piece for precise setting. The compact design also helps me make the most of my limited workspace. The only con I have noticed is that it takes a few uses to get the hang of the sliding mechanism, but once you do, it's a…

Pros
  • Provides a precise and secure setting for diamonds and other precious stones
Cons
  • Requires specialized skills and tools for installation, which can present a barrier for DIY jewelry making

Priceless tool!

I mostly use it when building scale models, mostly cars. It has an unparalleled ability to securely hold small parts without causing damage. I would buy at least 10 more. Too bad it's no longer available.

Pros
  • It's about 4 1/4 inches (107.9mm) long
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works but never found what I was looking for

Not what I expected based on the description. I was looking for grips that strong, but due to my arthritis I need an opening and closing mechanism that is operated by thumb pressure on the top so I don't have to try to rotate the barrel while holding an object in a vise to get it to tighten . They're quite usable and we'll be sticking with them as I'm sure they'll come in handy for other projects. In the meantime I will continue my search for the perfect pin vise.

Pros
  • This is a new nickel plated vise with sliding pin
Cons
  • Price piggy bank
