I purchased this pack in January 2017. I've had it on my truck's center console cover ever since. It was NOT in direct sunlight as it would sit on my dash. Yesterday 10/10/2017 I noticed it was "melting" around the edges and it was the first cool day - finally the end of the Texan summer. It didn't melt from the heat, it was like a chemical breakdown. Luckily it came off and I was able to scrape the residue off the console cover.

Do not use if you have textured strokes. Didn't think my dash was too textured. Use the alcohol brush provided to clean the dashboard before application. After putting it on the dashboard, I waited 24 hours before putting anything on it. Put your phone on it to test it but when I tried to grab my phone the tablet came along. Tried applying dust from above, the result is the same. Sticky on top and not very sticky on the bottom. And one more caveat. The car will stink for about 3 days.

Pads adhere well and hold items in place. HOWEVER I have placed one on the dashboard of my SUV and one on the center console of our Prius and whatever chemicals are manufactured or treated left a permanent stain on our SUV dashboard and the Prius console material is badly deformed and the material looks like warts on it now. I have tried everything to remove the stain on an SUV dashboard but to no avail. I'm not sure what to try on the Prius console. I'm afraid it may be permanently damaged…
