🔧 SMALLRIG Mounting Rod Clamp Ring for Zhiyun Crane2 Crane v2 Crane Plus Gimbal Stabilizer - 2119 Review

I love the small rig and this mounting clip helped me with the limited gimbal weight. I currently have small hands with a RØDE mic and will be adding a monitor soon.

Like the rest of SMALLRIG accessories, this one is no different. The quality is excellent and accurate. The overwhelming number of mounting points on this mount is only limited by your imagination. Great product for Zhiyun Crane 2.

For $10 more than a Zhiyun clamp, you get great small rig build quality and lots of extra attachment points. BUT, what I hadn't thought of, you can't fit your Crane2 into its body with the clamp installed. Therefore, you have to unscrew and re-tighten the clamp every time. One good thing about the Zhiyun clamp is that it's a thumbscrew, so it's much easier to loosen.

The clamping mechanism works with a screw. This product is said to have 2 screws on each end and it only has 1. It actually has room to put a second screw in, but it only comes with one screw making it difficult to attach properly. Basically you need to tighten 1 screw all the way so that one side is flush and there is a gap on the other side (where the other screw goes). Every time I receive a new Smallrig product I am amazed that I paid a great price for such a quality product. The Zhiyun 2 crane pole clamp is perfect. At first I was worried about how it would hold up, but it does a great job, looks like it can handle a decent amount of weight. I put a Lilliput a7s monitor on it with one of the big 970 batteries and walked around with it. Holds up great. There are plenty of 1/4 holes for jets in the most useful places.
