Description of SmallRig Vlog Cage Hero Black

Compatible with Max Lens Mod:The cage supports lens replacement , and it's compatible with the max lens mod.The cage is locked by pressing the cover and released by pushing the button. Cold Shoe Mounts: The top and right sides are equipped with two cold shoe mounts that can be connected to accessories such as microphones and LED lights. Compatible with Original Baseplate:The bottom contains a foldable mount for Go Pro compatible with the original baseplate, and a 1/4 threaded hole can also be directly connected to a tripod. Quick-release Panel: The side panel is a quick-release for battery switches. You can charge the camera through the USB-C port without opening the panel. Compatible with Original Mic Adapter: Kit includes an audio adapter holder that can be compatible with Go Pro 7/8 original microphone adapter.

The hero's best cell 9. Hands down.

Fantastic workmanship, high quality materials, the best frame for GoPro Hero 9. The latch on the back door fits well with no play after latching. Lots of threaded mounts and overall awesome hardware to add to your Hero 9 rig.

Fits perfectly for gopro 9 with max lens mod

also how hard is it to put max lens mod on gopro 9; The small rig cage is perfect for zero installation hassle. Doesn't wobble in the cage and the mic adapter holder is a big plus. The only thing I want to change? I want the USB perforated panel to fit exactly like an Ulanzi case, not just a giant square open space exposing the battery.

Single Cage for Max Lens Mod Hero 9

I love the sturdy metal frame that holds the Max Lens Mod for Hero 9 GoPro. The only cage on the market that does this. The 1/4" tripod thread is a great feature when not using GoPro's built-in magnetic mounts. I removed the original battery door (lots of videos on this) to allow easy open access to the USB-C port (note that without the cover it's no longer waterproof).

Superb build quality, very tight tolerances, weird audio block placement.

Very strong cage. I don't particularly like the placement of the external audio/mic box as no matter how you position the cable it's a bit tight but works well. Also, it fits the Hero 9 very snugly and the rear shutter pushes/blows the glass protector that I have. (These are the only reasons I'm deducting a star). Overall a good quality "SmallRig" cage and it works as intended!

Better than The Ulanzi

The good folks at SmallRig have thought of everything. When I got my Hero 9 I went for the Ulanzi cage first because I have it on my 8 and my Max. But I hated how the filter holder on the Ulanzi covered too much of the front screen. I mean that's why we bought 9 for the front screen right? So I ordered this and am delighted. First, it's great to be able to use a 1/4 or action camera mount without having to screw an adapter onto the bottom like Ulanzi does. So comfortable. Second, the test door…
