Expensive but effective

Just right for mounting on a round roof. In both cases I replaced the polygonal nuts/fasteners with standard stainless steel carriage bolts and nylox.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • -

Outstanding quality: Solar modules

I bought them to install solar panels with an unusual shape on the roof of my RV. I didn't want to drill into the roof and it's solid fiberglass. So I installed them with JB Weld's clear epoxy. Then I wrapped the fasteners with strips of Etirnabond, then smeared the sealant with an overlap, all hardened

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

The best solar mounts!

figured out these brackets. They leave plenty of room for airflow, my RV has two 100w solar panels. One thing I did differently is using Celvis pins drilled into the threaded side of the clamps. I don't camp all year round so they can be easily removed for storage in the winter months, see photo.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Good but not great

Nice solid bracket suitable for solar panels

Be sure to use blue Loctite on the hinge pin. Good solid mount. Suitable for installation on a flat or curved roof. Can also be used to tilt panels if required when additional dedicated lift rods are added. That may be an exaggeration, but I put one on each rafter to span my railing. This is on the front end of my TT and I didn't want the panels to come loose. I had to replace the T-nuts with ones compatible with the rails I was using.

Solid Build - Generators & Portable Power Supplies

If you're looking for a sturdy mount to tilt your solar panels, look no further. They can be screwed onto any wood surface or screwed onto any metal surface. They are designed with the panels spaced approximately 2 inches from the mounting surface to allow airflow under the panels. Wrench Outside Adding a lock washer prevents the nuts and bolts from loosening when mounted on the roof of a trailer or RV.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Upgrades Available

Too expensive for a mobile home application!

These mounts are grossly imperfect when used on a camper or 'other' vehicle. Hinge, increase its length to allow the lock nuts to compensate for the vibration weakening, and redrill the threaded hole to accommodate this larger bolt. (Tightening a steel bolt into an aluminum thread will never stay in place and will eventually loosen trying to tighten it.) The included mounting bolts will work on a solid roof, but will not fit an RV roofline. Overall it's not worth the entire cost paid ($46+)…

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Large and Bulky
